Dana joined Mental Health America Lakeshore after serving on the Board of Directors for 5 years and as Board President in 2021. She earned her degree in Community Engagement and Education with a minor in psychology, focusing heavily on community-based nonprofits and advocating for change through community-organized initiatives and partnerships.  She is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Dana has always had a passion for mental health and wellness; after spending most of her career in the corporate world, she decided to take the leap and pursue her passion full-time at MHA. She has a diverse background in market research and analysis, leading interdepartmental teams, building partnerships, content creation, event planning, and more.

Dana feels strongly that we can accomplish much greater and impactful change when we come together on a common mission with empathy and appreciation of differences. She enjoys listening and learning about others’ mental health journeys as the more we can talk about it, the more we can chip away at the stigma that stifles access to care and mental wellness.

Dana resides in Plymouth with her two daughters and dog Ferdinand. She enjoys spending time outdoors, painting, yoga, and fitness, cooking new dishes, and continuing to improve her own mindfulness.

"I take moments to play and laugh with my daughters. It's easy to get lost in the day-to-day chaos and important to find the joy in spontaneous laughter, and play."
