| The majority of Dione's life has been spent serving young adult, adult, and senior members of her community. Her experiences include work with nursing home residents, physical medicine, rehabilitation patients, survivors of sexual abuse, and homeless women and their children. She also has over ten years of experience as a paramedic, working with individuals in crisis as well as emergency and medical providers. Dione's burning desire is to abolish the negative stigma associated with mental illness. Dione has worked as a professional caregiver and CNA. Dione has a strong appreciation for silent battles fought in the medical and service-oriented fields. She worked as a volunteer EMT, as well as a full-time paramedic for over 10 years. Dione has been trained in basic and advanced Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). She was involved in the establishment of a county-wide CISM team, serving as a paramedic peer-support member. Outside of private practice, Dione continues to work as a crisis response specialist. |
