I have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. I started working in the mental health field in 2010, and began providing outpatient counseling services in 2015. I work with teens and adults who may be experiencing a variety of mental health and life transition issues. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, stress and adjustment issues, and trauma. I often work with clients who desire to integrate their faith in therapy. I have training and experience working with first responders, including attending a mental health providers training provided by the Milwaukee Fire Department. I also have been facilitating critical incident stress debriefings following traumatic incidents since 2018. I consider my counseling style to be collaborative, intentional, and forward-focused. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and DBT principles, motivational interviewing and solution-focused strategies to assist clients in establishing more effective patterns of thought and behavior. I also enjoy helping clients explore larger concepts of purpose and meaning as needed. I truly enjoy working with clients to establish healthier life patterns and experience positive life changes. I consider it a privilege to help clients build hope for the future. |
