For my mental health I....

spend quality time with my husband, Brad. We both enjoy being outdoors and can usually be found fishing, golfing, in the woods, and our new favorite, kayaking. I also practice mindfulness which helps me to focus my awareness on the present moment, while calmly accepting and acknowledging my feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. It is my belief that my love of nature helps me to embrace mindfulness to the best of my ability.

Recently, I have begun an exciting journey of utilizing aromatherapy from using natural oils to help enhance my psychological and physical well-being. To say that encompassing oils into my daily life has been life-changing would be an understatement.

Lastly, spending time in the kitchen, cooking up just about anything, is a MAJOR stress reliever; however, enjoying it with my family is even better.

One thing on my bucket list is...

to have the opportunity to travel to Europe to learn more about my extended family of origin. I also NEED to make a pit-stop in Italy, because as I mentioned before, I enjoy tasty food - with bread, cheese, wine, and pasta conveniently located at the top of my list. Also, I cannot express enough how much the idea of a gondola ride through Italy’s peaceful canals excites me.

A favorite Sheboygan County spot of mine is...

Elkhart Lake. Growing up just ten minutes away from this hidden gem of a community has allowed me to fall in love with all that this quaint, small town offers. My all-time favorites: the Tiki Bar at Victorian Village Resort, Lakestreet Cafe, Brown Baer, Farmer & Artisian Market, and getting some sun at Fireman’s Park and Beach. Elkhart Lake is my favorite local “staycation” hangout spot.

I like working at MHA because...

my current positions at MHA promote the growth of others which has helped to fulfill my lifelong passion of empowering others to live healthy, satisfying, and successful lives. It is such an honor to be a part of a team and organization that advocates for the betterment of our local communities and good mental health. I truly believe that myself, my co-workers, our volunteers, board members, donors, and connected agencies work together to make the necessary changes that help positively impact our communities - this is a beautiful thing.
